Joe Biden told skeptical reporters that he has outperformed expectations and then decided to blame Republicans for his shortcomings as you can see in the video below.

Biden of course denied overpromising to the American people and decided to attack the GOP, “I didn’t overpromise. You’d have to acknowledge we made enormous progress… I have to get my Republican friends to get in the game of making things better.”
He later went on to accuse Republicans of purposely trying to stall his agenda, “I did not anticipate that there’ll be such a stalwart effort to make sure that the most important thing was that President Biden didn’t get anything done.”

As you can tell, there doesn’t seem to be much bipartisan spirit inside Biden’s bones anymore as he appears insecure about his administration’s failures in the past year and is thus projecting. Instead of admitting this wasn’t a great year for him and America, he deflected and put the blame on Republicans in Congress.
