During a White House press briefing today, the southern border “scandal” as the Biden’s czar was in attendance to further explain the on-going situation.
Roberta Jackson, the special coordinator for the southern border, repeated the claim that the border was “not open,” and added that part of the plan was to fund measures with a $4 billion package that would tackle the “root causes” of migration.
When asked if it was a coincidence that the surge coincided with Biden-era policies, Jackson said “surges are caused by hope.”
Jackson added, “There was a hope for a more humane policy after four years of pent up demand, so I don’t know if I would call that a coincidence but the idea that a more humane policy would be in place would have driven people to make that decision, but more importantly it definitely drove smugglers to express disinformation, spread disinformation about what was now possible.”
“American Greatness” contributor Julie Kelly also referenced sarcastically another part of Jackson’s turn at the podium and said, “Uh oh she just said smugglers are crossing the border. I’ve been told this is racist.”
“Surges are caused by hope.” She says Biden’s “humane” immigration policies are attracting migrants here. No duh

A recent USA Today article attempted to paint a sympathetic picture of an attempted illegal immigrant “Mother of 4” who simply “wanted new life in America” but instead was part of last week’s deadly crash near US-Mexico border.
“She was running for her life,” they claimed, while writing that she wanted to come to America to escape an abusive marriage, which doesn’t jive with what Jackson was saying.
The article also mentions that she had previously been in the United States illegally but was “forced” to go back and shares a “Go Fund Me” for the mother, Carolina Ramirez Perez, which is up over $5,000.
