U.S. House Rep Bob Good (R-VA) announced today that he has introduced a new bill that he believes would secure the southern border.
Democrats have been insisting that Republicans don’t have solutions to the problems they complain about, but it with bills like this, it seems they have come out firing.
Good announced in a tweet, “I just introduced the Close Biden’s Open Border Act, which will: Appropriate the $15 billion needed to finish the border wall by temporarily freezing funding to the U.N.”
“We must secure our southern border and completing the wall is one of the first steps,” Good declared.

✅ Appropriate the $15 billion needed to finish the border wall by temporarily freezing funding to the U.N.
We must secure our southern border and completing the wall is one of the first steps.
According to the Council on Foreign Relations, in 2020, the United States accounted for just under one-fifth of funding for the United Nations’ collective budget.
The United States remains the largest donor to the organization, contributing more than $11 billion in 2020.
Donald Trump attempted to cut funding to the organization when he was president but Joe Biden has since reaffirmed the United States’ commitment and increased funding.
If the bill passes the House, it will be up to the new Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) to put pressure on the Senate to bring it for a vote.
As we reported earlier today, Texas GOP Gov. Greg Abbott dismissed Biden’s border plan as he said that he believes it will have the opposite effect and actually “entice more illegal immigration.”
The comments come as Biden visited the southern border for the first time yesterday in what many have decried as merely a photo op.
