In a recent interview with an Australian publication, “Born in the U.S.A.” singer Bruce Springsteen says that if President Trump is re-elected president, he’ll be “on the next plane” to the island nation.
He predicted, however, that Trump was “gonna lose.” The 71-year-old longtime Democrat has been a regular critic of Trump and prior to the 2016 election, he said “I don’t think he’s going to win, but even him running is a great embarrassment if you’re an American.”
“The republic is under siege by a moron,” Springsteen said at the time in excerpts from a Rolling Stone feature. “It’s a tragedy for our democracy,” he added.
Conservative pundit Dinesh D’Souza wondered, “Funny how all these celebrities—Bruce Springsteen is the latest—insist they will leave the country if Republicans are elected but then somehow they never keep their promises. Why are they still here?”

Springsteen has prohibited President Trump from using any of his songs for his re-election campaign, just as he did to Ronald Reagan, Bob Dole, and Pat Buchanan.
Last year, Springsteen said Trump “doesn’t have a clue” what the responsibilities of the presidency mean and in June, he slammed the Trump administration’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, saying the president should “put on a f—— mask.”
