Brandon Brown Apologizes to Sponsors for ‘Inexcusable’ Actions, Wants to Change the Meaning of ‘LGB’

The Brandon Brown story has taken another twist after he released a statement last week where he apologized to his sponsors, past and present, and re-iterated that he wants to change the meaning of “LGB.”

Brown said that his previous partners hadn’t actually left, but that there just was no renewal of a contract yet for the upcoming season and that LGBcoin.com had presented him with the “offer of a lifetime.”

“To all of my partners, past and present, who have supported myself and BMS, I would like to apologize and accept responsibility for the way that this off-season’s transition (has) been handled. My neglect to properly inform each of you of our 2022 plans is inexcusable,” Brown explained in the statement.

In a tweet where he shared the statement, Brown said, “I wanted to clear the air on some things.”

Since he released the statement, Brown has gotten some feedback on the situation from his former sponsors, which he has retweeted.

Jabs Construction told him in a quote tweet, “Thank you @brandonbrown_68@BMSRaceTeam for putting this statement out to the public. We have supported you and your team for 3 years now and plan to support you and team in any way needed. Time to drive and cross the finish line first.”

Pifer Bros BBQ Co said in a quote tweet, “Our sponsorship of @brandonbrown_68 might not have been huge. We fed him, the @BMSRaceTeam team and any sponsors that were at the race track.”

“We became friends and renewed our love for racing. We will always be there for you Brandon,” the company added.

The Original Larry’s Hard Lemonade was another sponsor of Brown’s and they publicly came out and said the company had no plans to work with him in 2022, citing his choice of sponsorship.

In an apparently now-deleted tweet, company co-founder and vice president Vic Reynolds posted a video statement and noted how “the pressure may have put Brandon’s race team in a position where mistakes may have been made in choosing a yearlong sponsor instead of sticking with the companies that got him to victory lane.”

Reynolds also called out LGBcoin, referencing how a wise man once told him “that all money is not good money,” according to Sportscasting.com.
