Brennan Alludes to Civil War, Calls Trump Re-Election ‘Most Serious Domestic Challenge in Over 150 Years’

After claiming Saturday on MSNBC that President Trump and AG William Barr “will stoop to whatever depths they need to in order to carry out personal agendas” while the Tulsa, Oklahoma rally was taking place, former CIA Director John Brennan today called Trump’s re-election the “most serious domestic challenge in over 150 years.”

The 150 years reference presumably means that he was alluding to the Civil War, which took place from 1861-1865. He also said that Trump “is thoroughly, irredeemably, & dangerously broken” and once again he used the word “despot” to describe the president and that “he will use any tactic to retain power.”

Brennan then encouraged voters to “be on the right side of history” and to “ensure his landslide defeat.” One Twitter user who disagreed responded by substituting Trump with Brennan in the tweet and asked for him to be sent “to Gitmo.”

Since a tweet referencing Trump’s desire not to change the names of military bases, Brennan has tweeted out twice about Trump as well and it’s clear he only keeps his Twitter up now to bash the president.
