Casey DeSantis Donates Bell That She Rang For Final Breast Cancer ‘Chemo Treatment’ to Florida Governor’s Mansion

Ron DeSantis and his wife, the first lady of Florida Casey DeSantis reported yesterday that she had finished her chemo treatment for breast cancer.

Today, she announced that she had donated the bell that she rang celebrating the milestone to the Florida Governor’s Mansion.

She shared a picture of the bell on top of a couple of books underneath related to cancer and treatment.

“This is the bell I rang for my final Chemo Treatment. It is now happily the property of the Governor’s Mansion (as are the wonderful motivational and inspirational books we’ve been sent along the way, thank you),” she said in the tweet.

She added, “Hopefully, their display will symbolize hope, humility and faith.”

In a tweet yesterday, she shared a video of her husband making the announcement at a news conference in Bowling Green, Florida.

“I just wanted to let everyone know that the first lady, yesterday, we completed the final chemotherapy treatment that she has to do,” he said.

He explained, “It’s not the most fun thing to see someone go through, but at the end of the day, she’s fought really hard. We think she’s responded very well.”

She told him in the tweet, “Thank you for being by my side from the beginning, but especially yesterday as we celebrated my FINAL Chemo Treatment together. I’m grateful, very humbled and blessed.”

Earlier in the month, he had spoken to Mark Levin about the treatment and she had tweeted a clip of the interview.

“Thank you @marklevinshow for thinking of me and for the kind words – Thank you to @GovRonDeSantis for staying by my side every step of the way, I love you,” she said.
