CNN Medical Analyst Insists She Would ‘Call Security to Restrain’ Trump If He Was Her Patient

President Trump was feeling well enough this afternoon that he took a brief ride in his motorcade outside the Walter Reed Medical Center today to thank supporters who have been holding a rally/vigil in front of the hospital.

This has upset many on the left including CNN medical analyst Dr. Leana Wen. She tweeted out her frustrations with the president and offered her medical opinion.

The M.D. insisted that “If President Trump were my patient, in unstable condition + contagious illness, & he suddenly left the hospital to go for a car ride that endangers himself & others: I’d call security to restrain him then perform a psychiatric evaluation to examine his decision-making capacity.”

White House Correspondents’ Association President Zeke Miller was another who was upset with the departure, but for a different reason.

“It is outrageous for the president to have left the hospital — even briefly — amid a health crisis without a protective pool present to ensure that the American people know where their president is and how he is doing,” he said.

“Now more than ever, the American public deserves independent coverage of the president so they can be reliably informed about his health,” he added.

Dr. James P. Phillips, who has appeared on CNN, also blasted the decision, saying, “Every single person in the vehicle during that completely unnecessary Presidential “drive-by” just now has to be quarantined for 14 days. They might get sick. They may die. For political theater. Commanded by Trump to put their lives at risk for theater. This is insanity.”
