CNN’s Brianna Keilar Blames Unvaccinated ‘Republican Fox Viewers,’ Rather Than Illegal Immigrants For COVID-19 Surge

This morning, CNN’s Brianna Keilar blamed unvaccinated “Republican Fox Viewers,” rather than illegal immigrants for the latest COVID-19 surge.

“President Biden has a border crisis on his hands – no doubt. But conservatives are capitalizing on it by demonizing immigrants as diseased spreaders of covid – with no facts to back that up,” Keilar said in a tweet, while sharing a clip from her morning show.

TPUSA’s Benny Johnson then quote tweeted Keilar and stated, “Ah yes. The talking points went out this morning. The logical argument that ‘open borders leads to more disease’ was far too obvious and damaging and libs panicked to come up with something. However, libs will be shocked to realize that no one believes this agitprop anymore.”

Johnson added a video which showed an interview with a purported recent border crosser and transcribed part of the video.

Keilar then responded to Johnson in a quote tweet where she insisted, “Unvaccinated Americans, disproportionately Republican Fox viewers, are fueling the surge, not migrants who are near 100 percent tested and quarantined if positive. Why not talk about the border crisis without dabbling in BS and racist tropes about immigrants.”

Conservative verified Twitter user Kambree was one of many who responded to Keilar with disbelief and she told Keilar, “Fake journalist… talk show host just makes crap up.”

Johnson later tweeted an article from NBC News that said according to a document prepared this week for a Thursday briefing with President Joe Biden, more than 18 percent of migrant families and 20 percent of unaccompanied minors who recently crossed the U.S. border tested positive for COVID-19 on leaving Border Patrol custody over the past two to three weeks.

According to the document, they added, some flights scheduled to deport migrants had more than 25 percent of passengers test positive before departure, leading Immigration and Customs Enforcement to remove those migrants from the flights for quarantine in the U.S.
