Comedian Louie Anderson Passes Away at 68-Years-Old Due to Complications From Cancer

Comedian Louie Anderson passed away today at 68-years old due to complications from cancer, according to his long-time publicist Glenn Schwartz.

Schwartz had previously said that Anderson had a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Combining comedy with acting, Anderson also turned in an Emmy-winning performance as mom to twin adult sons in the TV series “Baskets.”

Anderson also made guest appearances on various shows throughout the years and was a host of “Family Fued” around the turn of the millennium.

In regards to the former president, Anderson once said, “My Trump impression is not mean, it’s funny & friendly!”

Anderson’s last tweet contained a link to an article about comedy post-9/11 that he was featured in.

“Everything was a blur after 9/11,” Anderson noted in the article.

Of the first show that he did after the tragedy, Anderson said, “I was funny that night but much more thoughtful and comforting to the people who ventured out like I did, and I was also very comforted by them.”

“We have to keep moving, one foot in front of the other, somehow believing things would be better and we would be all right. Little did we know that 2020 was not far away,” Anderson added.
