A nationwide injunction was issued today by a Trump-appointed federal judge in Texas barring the federal government from enforcing Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate for federal workers.
U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Brown ruled that opponents of Biden’s vaccination mandate for federal employees were likely to succeed at trial and blocked the government from enforcing the requirement.
Brown wrote in his ruling that at issue was whether the president “can, with the stroke of a pen and without the input of Congress, require millions of federal employees to undergo a medical procedure as a condition of their employment.”
“That, under the current state of the law as just recently expressed by the Supreme Court, is a bridge too far,” Brown pointed out.
Arizona GOP candidate Kari Lake celebrated the news in a tweet where she announced, “BREAKING: Another illegal mandate by Joe Biden goes down!”
“A Southern District Court in TX just protected medical freedom and ruled against the mandated COVID shot for Federal Workers,” Lake reported.
Lake then declared, “Arizona must follow suit and protect ALL workers from losing their job for not taking the shot.”

A potential review could take place by the Supreme Court ultimately as the Justice Department said they would appeal the ruling.
