Fanone, who is 41 and has served on the force for 20 years, has seemingly become a Democrat operative already by being outspoken about the January 6th protest at the capitol, some may argue. Now that he has gained notice from his appearances in January 6th committee hearings, he will be moving on to bigger things.
It seems he has bigger plans after resigning, as he will be reportedly joining CNN to become an on-air contributor, according to The Washington Post. This comes as the one-year anniversary of January 6th will be coming soon and some may speculate CNN will be using Fanone to talk about the day.
On July 27, Fanone testified to the January 6th committee, “I was among a vastly outnumbered group of law enforcement officers protecting the Capitol and the people in it, I was grabbed, beaten, tased, all while being called a traitor to my country.”
Brian Stelter, a CNN show host, confirmed that Fanone will be joining the network in January.
