Previously we reported about how upcoming debate moderator and Never Trumper Steve Scully had appeared to have some strange Twitter exchange with Anthony Scaramucci, where Scaramucci responded by saying to “not respond” to President Trump.
Many speculated that Scully was busted conspiring against President Trump ahead of the next Biden/Trump debate and thought he was attempting to send a private message to Scaramucci. Later though, Scully said he was hacked, a narrative the media immediately ran with, and as you know, once they say it, it’s true. (wink).
Nonetheless, for some reason, it appears as though Scully’s account has been totally deleted. We don’t know if it’s a glitch, or another hack though, or if he actually deleted it for sure. Conservative Commentator Mark Dice took notice of this commenting:
“BREAKING: Presidential Debate moderator Steve Scully (@SteveScully) deleted his account after getting caught conspiring against Trump by posting a tweet meant as a DM, and then claiming he was “hacked.”

Earlier we reported in part (link earlier in story):
UPDATE: C-SPAN has released a statement which read that “Steve Scully did not originate the tweet and believes his account was hacked. The Commission on Presidential Debates has stated publicly that the tweet was not sent by Scully himself and is investigating with the help of authorities.
According to Fox News, Frank Fahrenkopf, a co-chairman of the commission, first made the hacking claim to Fox News Radio’s “The Brian Kilmeade Show” Friday morning.
Fahrenkopf told Kilmeade, “Steve is a man of great integrity, okay? I don’t know this question about whether he tweeted something out or not, I do know, and you’ll probably pick up on it in a minute, that he was hacked… Apparently, there’s something now that’s been on television and the radio saying that he talked to Scaramucci… He was hacked. It didn’t happen.”
Also, Scaramucci told Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade today that he thought Scully’s tweet was real, prompting his own response to the debate moderator last night.
He also tweeted later today that he took Scully’s claim “at his word,” adding, “Let’s not cancel anymore people from our culture for absolutely something like this. It’s insignificant. He is an objective journalist.”
President Trump’s interview on Fox News with Sean Hannity earlier has garnered a lot of attention and comments he made about the person who had been pegged to be the moderator for the next debate, Steve Scully, got the C-SPAN political editor’s attention.
Time will tell what exactly will happen for sure with Scully’s Twitter, and how the next debate will go down, if at all. We also recently reported on another story where former Republican Senator Bob Dole called out the so-called Republicans on the Presidential Debate Commission that is supposed to be fair and unbiased, saying that he doesn’t believe they like Trump and that it’s unfair.
Fox News recently put out a story saying that Scully has a history of saying he was ‘hacked’, or for blaming ‘hackers’ for posts made to his Twitter.
