Dinesh D’Souza Shuts Down Claim By Robert Reich That Musk’s Purchase of Twitter Was a ‘Hostile Takeover’ By Pointing Out That Musk Was Sued By Twitter to Go Through With the Original Offer

Conservative commentator Dinesh D’Souza yesterday shut down a claim by former Clinton Administration official Robert Reich, who was upset after Elon Musk took charge of Twitter.

In a tweet, Reich claimed, “We just witnessed a hostile takeover of Twitter by the richest man in the world who regularly tries to silence critics.”

“This is absolutely what oligarchy looks like,” Reich asserted.

In a quote tweet response, the 2000 Mules director told Reich, “It was so ‘hostile’ that Twitter sued Musk to compel him to go through with his original offer.”

While many leftists initially said they would leave Twitter if Musk purchased the company, it appears now that most are willing to stay.

While “Leaving Twitter” trended on Twitter following Musk’s purchase, most of the top tweets were from leftists saying they weren’t going to leave.

Twitter user “Lakota Man” declared, “I’m not leaving Twitter. Elon Musk can go f*ck himself.”

Some leftists have said they are moving to Tribel, which was founded by Occupy Democrats chief Omar Rivero.

The Post Millennial reported that Tribel announced that it was pre-emptively banning Donald Trump, Trump Jr., Elon Musk, and Kanye West from its platform.
