“JUST IN: U.S. attorney reviewing classified documents from Joe Biden’s vice presidency found at private office – CBS News”

“A small number of documents with classified markings” were discovered while Biden’s attorneys were clearing out the offices of the Penn Biden Center, where Biden kept an office after he left the vice presidency until shortly before launching his 2020 presidential run in 2019, according to Richard Sauber, special counsel to the president.

The documents were discovered on November 2, 2022. When they were found the attorneys alerted the White House Counsel’s office. The following day National Archives and Records Administration took custody of the documents the following day.

Sauber also added, “Since that discovery, the President’s personal attorneys have cooperated with the Archives and the Department of Justices in a process to ensure that any Obama-Biden Administration records are appropriately in the possession of the Archives.”

According to CBS Attorney General Merrick Garland has assigned the U.S. attorney in Chicago, John Lausch to review the documents found at the Penn Biden Center. The FBI is also involved in the inquiry which involves about 10 documents from Biden’s office.

The investigation is to determine how the documents ended up at the Penn Biden Center in order to determine if further investigation is needed.

The Penn Biden Center is a think tank about a mile from the White House. It is affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania.

It will be interesting to see what former President Donald Trump thinks of all this.
