Donald Trump Gives Touching Goodbye to Barbara Walters, ‘She Was the Greatest of them all, By Far’

Former President and 2024 GOP Presidential candidate Donald Trump gave a touching goodbye to former ABC News anchor Barbara Walters, who passed away yesterday at 93 years old.

In a Truth Social post, Trump said about Walters, “She was the greatest of them all, by far.”

“I knew her well, was interviewed by her many times, and there was nobody like the legendary Barbara Walters – And never will be!” Trump declared.

Trump-supporting rapper Forgiato Blow shared a picture of Trump with Walters along with Don King in a tweet and said, “Long Live (Barbara) Walters.”

The left, however, has attempted to paint Walters as someone who exposed Trump as a “fraud” during a 1990 interview.

Trump-hater Don Winslow shared a clip from the 20/20 interview and said, “Barbara Walters knew Donald Trump was a FRAUD.”

As we previously reported, ABC News announced Walters’ passing in a tweet, “BREAKING: Barbara Walters, trailblazing television news broadcaster and longtime @ABC News anchor and correspondent, dies at 93.”

PBS journalist Joan Lunden responded to news, “Barbara blazed the trail for all of us who followed. May she rest in peace.”

ABC said of Walters that she joined ABC News in 1976 and became the first female anchor on an evening news program.

Walters became a co-host of “20/20” three years later and launched “The View” in 1997.

After making her final appearance as a co-host of “The View” in 2014, Walters remained an executive producer of the show and continued to do some interviews and specials for ABC News.

  1. I remember in my 20’s seeing this gentle lady conduct some interviews that I know others would not have touched. Always respectful she knew how to word her inquiries but also added her praise(s) at times without ever changing her demeanor/loosing control in any way. She did and still does soar above the rest – man or woman. No one will ever replace her.
