After Elon Musk announced on Friday that his deal to buy Twitter is “on hold,” the 45th President Donald Trump said that there is “no way” he will go ahead with it due to the “ridiculous” price and too many bots.
In a TRUTH social post, Trump declared, “There is no way Elon Musk is going to buy Twitter at such a ridiculous price, especially since realizing it is a company largely based on BOTS or Spam Accounts.”
“Fake anyone? By the time you got rid of them, if that can even be done, what do you have? Not much?” Trump wondered.
Trump said that he believes, “If it wasn’t for the ridiculous Billion Dollar breakup fee, Elon would have been long gone.”
“Just my opinion, but Truth Social is MUCH better than Twitter and is absolutely exploding, incredible engagement!” Trump insisted.
We reported yesterday that Trump later urged people to “Leave Twitter and get the TRUTH!!!”
For his part, Musk admitted yesterday, “Whoever thought owning the libs would be cheap never tried to acquire a social media company!”
“At least, that’s what the lib hivemind thinks haha,” Musk added.
Musk later offered advice for how to best use Twitter, in his opinion:
“Very important to fix your Twitter feed: 1. Tap home button. 2. Tap stars on upper right of screen. 3. Select ‘Latest tweets’. You are being manipulated by the algorithm in ways you don’t realize. Easy to switch back & forth to see the difference.”

Musk later clarified:
“I’m not suggesting malice in the algorithm, but rather that it’s trying to guess what you might want to read and, in doing so, inadvertently manipulate/amplify your viewpoints without you realizing this is happening”
