Dr. Ben Carson Excoriates Joe Biden, Blames the Poorly Rated President for American Homelessness Crisis

Former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson said in an interview with Fox News Thursday that President Joe Biden is responsible for the rampant homelessness crisis in American cities.

Carson blamed the White House’s spending and regulatory policies have exacerbated the homeless problem.

Carson talked about the excessive spending bills and initiatives that the Biden administration and Congress have enacted. He believes these bills with all the spending have done nothing but flame the fire for the inflation we are facing.

While at CPAC in Texas, Carson stated, “These things are caused by excessive regulation. This administration has brought so much regulation into the system, and nobody’s really talking about it and doing anything about it.

“In the previous administration, just at HUD alone, we decreased the number of regulatory obstacles by over 2,000. You multiply that across the many agencies, and that was really the reason that the economy perked up and did well.” he continued.

Carson believes that Biden should look to organizations outside of the administration for help including churches because of the relationships that are built. “The difference is people develop relationships with the church [and other organizations]. They don’t develop relationships with the government,” he shared.

The homelessness crisis has become more and more prevalent, with tent cities popping up virtually overnight in cities across the country. Some cities such as Los Angeles have banned tent cities from establishing near schools, while New York City has moved to clear out tent cities.

Biden named Jeff Olivet as Homeless czar, putting him in charge of tackling the homeless crisis our that now plagues our country.
