Elon Musk Drops the Hammer on Former Twitter Execs Who Appeared Before Congress ‘The Woke Stasi Felt the Heat Today’

Elon Musk yesterday took a victory lap after former Twitter executives appeared before a House committee to face questions over decisions that were made in the censoring of the New York Post’s Hunter Biden laptop story prior to the 2020 election.

Musk made the declaration in a tweet that was made just prior to midnight on the west coast, where he presumably was in the San Francisco Twitter offices.

“The Woke Stasi felt the heat today,” Musk declared along with a fire emoji. He also added in a reply a link to a Wikipedia entry on the film “The Lives of Others.”

The movie is about the monitoring of East Berlin residents by agents of the Stasi, East Germany’s secret police, according to the entry.

One Twitter user pointed out in response, “I recently went to the Stasi museum in Berlin and found it interesting that they called themselves antifascist at the beginning” to which Musk replied, “Exactly.”

“Freedom advocate” Matt Wallace replied to Musk with a picture of the executives being administered the oath to testify.

“The former Twitter execs, including Vijaya Gadde and Yoel Roth, were lined up like children today and publicly ridiculed for (their) abhorrent behavior of censorship, lying, and abuse of power!” Wallace insisted.

Author Mark Jeffrey told Musk, “Thank you. Can’t say it enough. You could have sat there on Mt Olympus and done zero. Instead, you hopped into the ring and started swinging for free speech.”
