Wednesday, Elon Musk shared that Tim Cook was taking him around Apple’s Headquarters. He followed that tweet up with, “Good conversation. Among other things, we resolved the misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store. Tim was clear that Apple never considered doing so.”
This revelation comes after Musk shared that Apple “threatened” to withhold Twitter from their app store.
Apple has also threatened to withhold Twitter from its App Store, but won’t tell us why

Based on his more recent tweets, it seems that was all a misunderstanding and the pair are working to resolve their issues.
Musk had also shared that Apple had stopped its advertising on Twitter recently, a move some other companies have made since Musk’s takeover.
Musk had not revealed if he and reassured Cook about what he was doing with Twitter or if Apple would be coming back to advertise on Twitter.
This is is another positive light for Twitter, as also on Wednesday, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings only had positive things to say about Musk when has what he thought about the Twitter takeover.
For the most part, it seems the news has been mostly negative from Hollywood and the mainstream media concerning Musk’s takeover of Twitter. Many celebrities announced their departure from the platform, while others just amped up their complaints about Musk.
With Cook willing to talk with Musk and Hastings revealing his positive opinion of Musk, it seems maybe the corporate world may be more on board with Musk’s move than Hollywood.
The future of Twitter is in Musk’s hands after his acquisition of the platform. He plans to use his power for good, at least in his eyes he sees it that way. Musk wants Twitter to be a free speech platform, where ideas can be freely exchanged without people being banned over offending someone else.
This doesn’t mean that Twitter is set to become a free for all for any content, accounts will still have to stay within Twitter’s terms of service.
We may see Apple back to advertising on Twitter, who knows what this meeting will bring for sure.
