It seems that Musk keeps getting inundated with the same question, will he or won’t he be letting former President Trump back on the platform?
Making light of something he may not have the answer for yet Musk shared:
“If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me if Trump is coming back on this platform, Twitter would be minting money!”

Twitter issued a permanent suspension of the former president’s Twitter account @realDonaldTrump.
The decision was made on January 8th of 2021 after a couple of tweets the then-president made:
“The 75,000,000 great American Patriots who voted for me, AMERICA FIRST, and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will have a GIANT VOICE long into the future. They will not be disrespected or treated unfairly in any way, shape, or form!!!”
Shortly thereafter, the President Tweeted:
“To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th.”
It was decided that these two tweets fell under Twitter’s Glorification of Violence policy, so the account was immediately and permanently suspended.
In May, Musk commented on the ban of Donald Trump saying, “I do think it was not correct to ban Donald Trump; I think that was a mistake.”
After taking over on Thursday Musk shared, “witter obviously cannot become a free-for-all hellscape, where anything can be said with no consequences! In addition to adhering to the laws of the land, our platform must be warm and welcoming to all.”
Since this, it has been announced Musk will have a panel review suspended accounts and it appears that Donald Trump’s account will be one of those.
Everyone is waiting with bated breath to see if the former president will in fact be reinstated as Musk insinuated earlier this year.
