Eric Swalwell Reportedly Curses at MTG’s Spokesman For Telling Him ‘Biden Says You Can Take Off Your Mask’

U.S. House Rep Eric Swalwell (D-CA) went on an unhinged rant against U.S. House Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene’s spokesman today at the Capitol after the staffer simply pointed out to him that new regulations state that he doesn’t have to wear a mask.

According to reports, Greene’s spokesman Nick Dyer told Swalwell, “Biden says you can take off your mask.”

Swalwell then reportedly confronted Dyer, got in his face and according to Dyer, said, “You don’t tell me what to fucking do!”

Greene tweeted out about the incident that Swalwell “aggressively approached my staffer, got inches from his face, and verbally assaulted him. He totally lost control in front of me and Capitol Police.”

Swalwell later took to Twitter as well, sharing his side of the story where he said, “I had a mask on as I stepped off the Floor. An aide with @mtgreenee yelled at me to take my mask off. No one should be bullied for wearing a mask. So I told the bully what I thought of his order. Predictably, he went speechless. I regret I wasn’t more explicit.”

Capitol hill reporter Jamie Dupree shared his opinion on the situation and said, “Not only is Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene R-GA verbally harassing Democrats, but now her spokesman is yelling at lawmakers in the hallways at the Capitol.”

“For those unfamiliar with Capitol Hill decorum, it is considered extraordinarily uncool for staffers to say anything negative to lawmakers in a public setting. Lawmakers are elected. Staffers definitely are not,” Dupree added.

Greene quote tweeted Dupree and responded, “Stop lying, Jamie. Eric Swalwell chased my staffer into the Captiol, cornered him and exploded in anger inches from his face. This occurred in front of Capitol Police and reporters.”

Greene also shared video of an interview she gave today where she discussed her perspective on what has been taking place since she took office.

“MSDNC will chop up my interview, so I’m releasing the full thing here. Democrats have been attacking and assaulting me since I was sworn in,” Greene said in the tweet.

The left has also seized on a recently uncovered video of Greene attempting to speak with U.S. House Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and her staff before she became a member of Congress.

Editor-in-chief of the National Pulse Raheem Kassam has pointed out the hypocrisy of the outrage by showing a video of U.S. House Rep Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) prior to her being elected causing a disturbance at a 2016 Trump rally.

“The same people complaining that @mtgreenee heckled @AOC were lauding @RashidaTlaib for jumping around and shrieking at a Trump rally,” Kassam noted.
