Even CNN’s Oliver Darcy Calls Out White House for Playing Silly Games Over Fox Presidential Super Bowl Interview

It appears that the White House is playing games over the Fox presidential Super Bowl interview. The first pre-game Super Bowl interview was held during the Bush Administration in 2004.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tweeted that the interview was canceled and that it was at the request of Fox Corp.

“The President was looking forward to an interview with Fox Soul to discuss the Super Bowl, the State of the Union, and critical issues impacting the everyday lives of Black Americans. We’ve been informed that Fox Corp has asked for the interview to be cancelled.”

CNN’s Oliver Darcy saw right through what the White House was doing. He shared KJP’s tweet adding, “I don’t understand why the White House is playing this game. Of course Fox Corp is not going to let them bypass Fox News for an interview with Fox Soul, a small streaming operation with a tiny audience. Why not just say that they’re declining the Fox News interview & outline why?”

He continued on, “Anyway, the story here is that the White House is apparently snubbing Fox News for a pre-Super Bowl interview, as Biden continues to ice out the right-wing channel and decline requests for sit downs.”

He then added a some extra thoughts on the matter, “I’d also note: It seems the Biden WH could make an easy case to the public about why he’s not sitting down with a channel that employs extremists like Tucker Carlson who launch vicious attacks on him & his admin/family. But instead they’ve decided to play a rather silly game.”

Darcy as well as many others saw the game the White House was playing. They wanted the interview to take place on FOX Soul which most people didn’t even know existed until now. Fox Corp. as Darcy pointed out wanted the interview to be with one of their Fox News correspondents.

It seems FOX Corp. met the demands of the White House and FOX Soul will interview the President on Super Bowl Sunday.

Darcy shared the statement released by Fox Corp. “Update: Fox Corp. just sent me this statement: ‘After the White House reached out to FOX Soul Thursday evening, there was some initial confusion. FOX Soul looks forward to interviewing the President for Super Bowl Sunday.'”

It appears KJP was once again made to be the fool at the expense of the White House agenda in the eyes of many.
