U.S. House Rep Mayra Flores (R-TX) responded today to a Barstool Sports mock video recreating the “push” of her daughter by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
Dave Portnoy shared the video, which transposed LeBron James’ face on top of Flores’ daughter and showed him flopping after Pelosi’s “push.”
Portnoy said of the video, “Slow motion replay of the Pelosi push.”
Flores responded, “Except my daughter didn’t flop like LeBron James!!”
Except my daughter didn't flop like LeBron James!!

It doesn’t appear that Flores has responded yet to Pelosi’s Chief of Staff Drew Hammill, who earlier addressed the situation in a tweet where he shared a Fox News article on Flores’ response.
Hammill claimed, “It’s sad to see ‘news outlets’ that know better misrepresent the Speaker’s effort to ensure Rep. Flores’ daughters wouldn’t be hidden behind her in all of the photos of such an important moment for their family.”
Previously, Flores quote tweeted James Woods who had shared a clip of the incident and said, “I love this princess stood her ground, while Nancy showed her true colors.”
In the quote tweet, Flores declared:
“I am so proud of my strong, beautiful daughter for not allowing this to faze her.”
“She continued to smile and pose for the picture like a Queen.”
“No child should be pushed to the side for a photo op. PERIOD!!”
