Country music star Chris Stapleton performed the national anthem before the kick-off of Super Bowl LVII in Glendale Arizona.
His performance brought many football players to tears as he sang the “Star Spangled Banner”. Stapleton was dressed in black with sunglasses on playing on a fender as he sang to the stadium.
As the camera showed different faces from both teams some of the players were visibly brought to tears.
One fan shared on Twitter, “Okay so no one can even touch Whitney Houston’s legendary performance of the National Anthem…but Chris Stapleton’s rendition was breathtaking.”
