Fans Push Back After NASCAR Wishes ‘Those Celebrating’ a Politically Correct ‘Happy Holidays’

NASCAR drew some heat with a tweet that was made over the weekend wishing “those celebrating” a politically correct “happy holidays.”

The tweet from NASCAR continues a trend this year, as we previously reported on a “Happy Pride Month” tweet that the organization made.

Like they did for the “Happy Pride Month” tweet, NASCAR had a graphic drawn up to share with the tweet, this one showing a winter scene.

“To all those celebrating this month, we wish you a safe and joyous holiday season!” NASCAR declared in the tweet.

Although many pushed back on the tweet, there were also leftists who criticized them for pushing back.

Twitter user “Nissan Z” replied, “I think what you meant to say was ‘Merry CHRISTmas’!!!”

Another declared, “Screw that! MERRY CHRISTMAS!”

Twitter user Duck Shedman wondered, “‘Celebrating this month’, is that where this sport is at? Yeesh.”

Given how specific NASCAR was for “Pride Month,” it certainly seems like a slap in the face to Christians who celebrate Christmas and have made up much of the sport’s fanbase for many years, in our view.

Some of the leftists suggested that NASCAR may issue another statement on Christmas but that seems unlikely unless the pushback has an effect.
