Felon With Long Criminal History Claims to be ‘Jump Kick Man’ Who Attacked Rittenhouse

A felon with a long criminal history, Maurice Freeland, claims to be the mysterious “Jump kick man” who attacked Kyle Rittenhouse when he was on the ground after stumbling while running from a mob in Kenosha, Wisconsin on August 25, 2020.

Additionally, it was reported that prosecutors informed the Rittenhouse defense team only last Thursday, as the trial came to an end, that Freeland had come forward claiming to be “Jump Kick Man.”

It’s not clear when Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger and his boss, DA Mike Graveley, first learned about Freeland’s claims, as it would be a much bigger issue if the prosecution knew his identity for longer because the defense might have wanted to call or cross-examine him or track him down and vet the story

Freeland is listed as being in the custody of the Kenosha County Jail as of yesterday and his most recent booking is listed as a probation hold with no bond.

“Jump kick man” was mentioned multiple times during closing arguments by both sides and Rittenhouse’s defense attorney made a point that the kick happened before Rittenhouse shot anyone at that point.

The kick happened just before Anthony Huber struck Rittenhouse with his skateboard, which led to Rittenhouse shooting and killing Huber after he apparently attempted to grab the gun.

Previously, we reported:

A video clip was posted from today’s portion of the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. What appears to be Kyle Rittenhouse’s defense attorney in interviewing an “expert witness” about a man who is being called “jump kick man”.

This man, among others who were actually shot, allegedly attacked Kyle Rittenhouse while a larger group of people were coming up onto Rittenhouse.

Rittenhouse allegedly doesn’t shoot until he was kicked in this particular scenario but it was not “jump kick man” who actually got shot.
