The drummer for the band the “Foo Fighters”, Taylor Hawkins has tragically passed away.
They were just nearing the end of a South American tour. The band put out a statement:
“The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live with us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children, and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.”

Hawkins previously played the drums for Alanis Morissette, he joined the Foo Fighters in 1997. He had a solo career as well.
Pitchfork reported in part:
As the news of Hawkins’ death broke online, Brian Wilson, Steve Albini, Johnny Marr, Questlove, Ozzy Osbourne, Axl Rose, Mark Ronson, Finneas, and Tom Morello expressed their affection and admiration for the late drummer. Lollapalooza also issued a statement, writing, “There are no words to describe what he meant to us, and to all music fans around the world.”
The Foo Fighters were known as Liberals and supportive of vaccine mandates. It’s unclear how Hawkins passed on yet. Although it is not uncommon for musicians die young, we do not want to speculate.
