As we previously reported, former D.C. Metropolitan police officer Michael Fanone, who testified before the Jan. 6 committee, resigned in December to join CNN as a contributor.
Now with CNN, Fanone joined Anderson Cooper last night and offered his opinion on Saturday’s Trump rally in Texas.
Cooper led Fanone into the segment by asking him if he was worried that Trump was encouraging “mobs, rallies, protests against law enforcement personel?”
“Absolutely, he still has a great deal of support in this country and many of those supporters have already proven, like they did on Jan. 6, that they are willing to commit violence, on his behalf,” Fanone claimed.
Fanone then insisted, “I mean there is just no bottom to what it is that he’s willing to say, he’s like America’s crazy ex.”
“He’s just decided that if he can’t have us, no one can, and he’s going to tear apart our democracy and our country if he can’t get reelected,” Fanone added.

Fanone, 41, had served on the force for 20 years, and has seemingly become a Democrat operative already by being outspoken against Trump in regards to Jan. 6, some may argue.
Now that he has gained attention from his appearances in Jan. 6 committee hearings, he has moved on to bigger things.
On July 27, Fanone testified to the January 6th committee, “I was among a vastly outnumbered group of law enforcement officers protecting the Capitol and the people in it, I was grabbed, beaten, tased, all while being called a traitor to my country.”
