Former President Trump Congratulates Kyle Rittenhouse ‘For Being Found INNOCENT Of All Charges’

It was only a matter of time before former President Donald Trump issued a statement following the vindication of Kyle Rittenhouse today in the Kenosha County Courthouse.

In a statement issued through his Save America PAC, Trump said, “Congratulations to Kyle Rittenhouse for being found INNOCENT of all charges.”

Taking an apparent shot at critics, Trump added, “It’s called being found NOT GUILTY—And by the way, if that’s not self defense, nothing is!”

President Joe Biden was asked following the verdict whether he stood by his “past comments equating (Rittenhouse) to white supremacy.”

Last year, Biden tweeted a video that had an image of Rittenhouse and criticized then-President Trump, his opponent, for not condemning white supremacy.

“I stand by what the jury has concluded,” Biden insisted, dodging the question.

Earlier, we reported:

Kyle Rittenhouse was set free today after being found not guilty on all counts of a shooting in Kenosha that he claimed was self-defense. During Trump’s presidency, former President Donald Trump appeared to say that he felt Rittenhouse was acting in self-defense, even though the media tried to demonize Trump for that support.

Now that Kyle is innocent, Donald Trump was proven right. Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers reminded Twitter of Trump’s statement by posting the flashback video clip.

Reporter: Do you condemn the actions of vigilantes like Kyle Rittenhouse?

Trump: We’re looking at all of it. That was an interesting situation. You saw the same tape as I saw. He was trying to get away from them I guess, looks like. And he fell, and then they very violently attacked him. It was something that we’re looking at right now and it’s under investigation but uh, I guess he was in very big trouble, he would have been, he probably would have been killed but it’s under investigation.
