At the news of former U.S. House Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) signing with CNN, comedian and Fox News contributor Jimmy Failla came up with a great quip.
“WOW – Adam Kinzinger has signed with CNN. He wasn’t kidding when he said he wanted to leave the spotlight.”

No one seems surprised at the move, as Kinzinger seems like he will fit in well at CNN. He has raged against former President Trump for almost two years. The former Republican U.S. House Rep. for IL and former U.S. House Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) both took positions in what many see as a witch hunt “sham” investigation on the January 6th committee.
CNN has been suffering from horrible viewership, and this has led the new management to kick some of their hosts to the curb so to speak, such as Brian Stelter. As the new management tries to turn things around at CNN, it doesn’t appear that much has really changed at the network, at least not in their viewership.
Greg Gutfeld took a jab at CNN’s hiring of the former U.S. Rep. announcing “This is gunna be hilarious!”
It seems likely that Gutfeld will at least have a few lines for the former congressman on this evening’s show, but we will have to see.
Kinzinger wanted to make sure he stayed in the public eye, and this might help him at least stay out there for his fan base. He wants to make sure people don’t forget who he is as he would like to run again for political office at some point, he is also in no hurry as he put it, as he is only 44.
