Geraldo Rivera is in the news a lot lately, but not for the usual reason, which would be his normal appearance on Fox News’ ‘The Five’. Geraldo has been, in our view, moving further and further leftward, despite the fact that he has been an apparent centrist for some time now.
Despite former President Donald Trump’s assistance in raising Geraldo’s profile back when he was a contestant on ‘The Apprentice’, Geraldo has been unsupporting of Mr. Trump more often than not, even though he does randomly and occasionally defend him sometimes too. Geraldo has been given some time off by Fox News and it’s unclear if he’s coming back, although he says he will be back soon.
A credible source, however, thinks he may be done, after taking potshots at Tucker Carlson while Carlson’s Fox News departure wounds are still fresh with the network. Greg Gutfeld has been unhappy with him as well.
Today, Geraldo posted a tweet of himself with former Trump Attorney General Bill Barr, slamming Trump and claiming Barr “saved” his first term.
“Attorney General Bill Barr spoke today at the @TheCityClub promoting “One Damn Thing After Another.” The man who saved Trump’s first term wrote and spoke today about the chaos the former president brought to the Oval Office.”

Geraldo doesn’t seem too concerned about his future. He is 79 years old and worth about $20 million. Nevertheless, there are many people who are interested in what happens next and unhappy with the folks attacking both Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson.
Although there have been tense moments between Carlson and Trump, as of recent reports, they are on good terms and Carlson may even be in talks with the GOP presidential frontrunner to help moderate upcoming debates.
Although Fox News let go of Carlson for various potential reasons, and former Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly is convinced they are not happy with Donald Trump at the top, the network executives know that much of their fan base does support the former and possible future president and therefore they have to try and thread the needle to attempt to retain the viewers that they do have left, in our view.
