This morning, a clip of House Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) speaking with Chris Wallace about her opinion on the future of the Republican party was released.
Cheney insisted that the Republican party is the party of former presidents Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan and that Trump “does not have a role as a leader of our party going forward.”
“We should not be embracing the former president,” Cheney added and in apparently another part of the segment, she told Wallace that she did not plan to resign, despite being censured by the Wyoming GOP and being pressured to do so.
Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) rebuked Cheney’s assertions in a tweet and said, “Trump IS our leader bc he put #AmericaFirst & will never back down. Neither will I.”
Greene explained, “Republicans attacking Trump are the same Never-Trumpers that rode his coat tails when it was politically convenient. Abandoning Trump will cost R’s the majority in ‘22. They just don’t get it.”

Neither will I.
Republicans attacking Trump are the same Never-Trumpers that rode his coat tails when it was politically convenient.
Abandoning Trump will cost R’s the majority in ‘22.
They just don’t get it. https://t.co/LkaVMcH3oQ
Cheney was one of 10 Republicans in the House who voted to impeach the former President Trump last month but she was not one of the 11 Republicans who voted to strip Greene of her committee assignments.
Earlier this morning, Greene tweeted out that “It took one month for the Democrats to figure out they can’t stop me. That I won’t compromise, cave, or be whipped into submission by anyone. It’s people over politicians and #AmericaFirst. And no matter what, they still can’t stop me.”

That I won’t compromise, cave, or be whipped into submission by anyone.
It’s people over politicians and #AmericaFirst.
And no matter what, they still can’t stop me.
Last night, Greene called out House Rep. Cori Bush (R-MO) who was responding to the news about the riots at a St. Louis jail that occurred yesterday.
Bush quoted Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. who once said “A riot is the language of the unheard.”
“I want to talk to my constituents in the window. Their lives and their rights must be protected. My team and I are working to ensure that the urgent needs of people who are incarcerated are not ignored,” Bush said, referring a picture that showed a group of inmates gathered at a broken window.
Tagging Bush, Greene asked, “You support riots?” She continued, “According to the link, ‘Everybody housed at the Justice Center is housed there because of very serious offenses like assault on police officers and homicide and things of that sort.'”
Greene wondered, “How does this fit with your resolution in the #HouseOfHypocrites?”
