‘Here We Go’ Wendy Rogers Slams Fairfax County For Delay After Promising to Release ‘The Early Votes and Absentee Votes First Thing’ on Election Night

It was reported yesterday that “The early votes and absentee votes” in Fairfax County, Virginia were going to be released “first thing” on election night.

That, however, will not happen as it has been reported that there will be a delay as they have to “rescan” ballots and will be releasing their vote totals later tonight.

GOP Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers did not waste time slamming the situation in a tweet declaring “Here we go.”

Scott Konopasek, Fairfax County’s General Registrar and Director of Elections, had said that “The absentee ballots, as they come in are verified and checked in, and then they’re opened, and the ballots are removed and unfolded and then they’re run through the scanners.”

“It has to start early in order for us to be able to accommodate the volume of ballots we expect to have,” Konopasek insisted.

According to Konopasek previously, “Right after 7 p.m. we are going to push a button, and it’s going to produce a report with all those results in it, and that’s a change from past practice. We’re going to release the early votes and the absentee votes first thing.”

That clearly did not happen and so it will definitely be raising red flags in an election that is expected to be decided by a slim margin.

Conservative verified Twitter user Kambree shared her frustration with the situation in a tweet where she said, “You can’t make this crap up.”
