Ilhan Omar Tells Trump That This is Her Country and Gloats About Impeaching Him

At a rally in Moon Township, Pennsylvania last night, outside of Pittsburgh, President Trump mentioned about how he believed that he was going to win the state of Minnesota because of Ilhan Omar.

He said that she was trying to “tell us how to run our country.” He questioned, “How did you do where you came from? How is your country doing? She’s telling us how to run our country.” CNN has called it a “racist attack.”

Omar responded by telling the president that “Firstly, this is my country & I am a member of the House that impeached you. Secondly, I fled civil war when I was 8. An 8-year-old doesn’t run a country even though you run our country like one.”

In an additional tweet she said, “These cult-like rallies leave me wondering one thing” and then shared a GIF that asked, “Why are you so obsessed with me?”

As we reported last night, the Minnesota Senate race is within the margin of error and a recent poll also has Trump within the margin of error. Minnesota hasn’t gone for a Republican since 1972.

A recent article also highlighted how Minneapolis, which Omar’s district covers, has descended into what one resident has described as a war zone thanks to policies that were encouraged by the 5th District Congresswoman.

Her Republican opponent in the upcoming election, Lacy Johnson, has been endorsed by Trump and recently he said that Omar “continues to come up with excuses for the rioting and looting. This is exactly why she must be voted out of office. We can’t build our communities up if we keep tearing them down!”

A week ago, a 17-year-old boy who had worked for Johnson was shot and killed in an attack outside a gas station on Minneapolis’ north side and a second person who also had worked for him was wounded in the shooting on Monday.
