In CBS News Interview, Kellyanne Conway Claims That Mike Pence Could Be a ‘Wild Card’ For 2024

Former Trump senior adviser Kellyanne Conway appeared in an interview with CBS News’ Catherine Herridge on Friday and claimed that Mike Pence could be a “wild card” for 2024.

While discussing whether or not Trump will be running again in the next presidential election, Conway predicted that “dozens of people” will be running if he forgoes another presidential campaign and “very, very few people running” if he decides to enter the race.

In a clip shared in a tweet by Herridge, Conway said, “I think a wild card here is former Vice President Mike Pence because you do hear people say, ‘I love the Trump-Pence accomplishments.'”

“This is the guy who was right there with President Trump. It didn’t end on the best terms but boy for four years, did they sing from the same song sheet, were they an unbelievable team,” Conway added.

Conway also called Trump and Pence a “president and vice president who complemented each other’s styles but were of a single mind on the substance.”

In a June interview, Conway used similar rhetoric as she said that “The Trump/Pence accomplishments are remarkable, and we can go through them.”

“People don’t seem to want to, but if he runs for president, he’ll be talking about that,” Conway continued.

Conway explained, “If Mike Pence runs for president instead of Donald Trump if Donald Trump says no, he’ll be talking about the Trump-Pence accomplishments.”

Trump previously refuted an assertion by Conway in her book and that he would have banished her from his inner circle if she had ever told him he lost the 2020 presidential election.

In a Truth Social post made in May, Trump declared, “Kellyanne Conway never told me that she thought we lost the election.”

“If she had, I wouldn’t have dealt with her any longer — she would have been wrong — could go back to her crazy husband. Writing books can make people say some very strange things. I wonder why?” Trump asked.
