Nancy Pelosi Leaves Cloud of Uncertainty Around Asian Trip After Drama With China’s Xi and Trump Statement, May Not Visit Taiwan

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) left a cloud of uncertainty around her Asian trip with a tweet that she made today where she left out Taiwan as an expected stop.

As we previously reported, the 45th President Donald Trump lashed out at Pelosi as things are getting testy between the United States and China.

Trump asked in a post on Truth Social, “Why is Nancy Pelosi getting involved with China and Taiwan other than to make trouble and more money, possibly involving insider trading and information, for her cheatin’ husband?”

Pelosi is under fire after her husband Paul Pelosi sold off up to $5 million worth of chipmaker stock ahead of a semiconductor bill vote, she went on the offensive today against Republicans.

“Everything she touches turns to Chaos, Disruption, and ‘Crap’ (her second big Congress ‘flop’ happening now!), and the China mess is the last thing she should be involved in – She will only make it worse,” Trump insisted.

Trump concluded, “Crazy Nancy just inserts herself and causes great friction and hatred. She is such a mess!”

In her tweet today, Pelosi declared:

“I’m leading a Congressional delegation to the Indo-Pacific to reaffirm America’s unshakeable commitment to our allies & friends in the region.”

“In Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea & Japan, we’ll hold high-level meetings to discuss how we can further our shared interests & values.”

‘We look forward to productive meetings that will continue to inform Congress’s work to strengthen our partnerships & advance our interests.”

“These include peace & security, economic growth & trade, the COVID-19 pandemic, the climate crisis, human rights and democratic governance.”

“Under the strong leadership of President Biden, America is firmly committed to smart, strategic engagement in the region, understanding that a free and flourishing Indo-Pacific is crucial to prosperity in our nation and around the globe.”

“After a fuel stop in Hawaii, we were honored with a briefing from USINDOPACOM Leadership, as well as a visit to the Pearl Harbor Memorial and the USS Arizona.”

“Our Members paid our respects to the valiant Servicemembers who perished in the brutal attack on Pearl Harbor.”

“During our travels, we’ll continue to convey Congress & America’s gratitude for our brave Servicemembers stationed abroad, whose service makes the region & world more stable & safe. Read my statement on our Congressional delegation to the Indo-Pacific.”
