In Resurfaced 2017 Tweet, Jake Tapper Doesn’t ‘Know What to Say’ About Those Who ‘Don’t Care About Sex Crimes Against Children, and How Adults Get Away With It’

In a recently resurfaced 2017 tweet, CNN’s Jake Tapper weighs in on “sex crimes against children,” which has now been brought to the spotlight after reports that his former producer is under investigation for that very thing.

The tweet is a reply to a tweet that tapper made where he announced on July 18, 2017, “Also on #TheLead: interviews with investigators from FBI, US Attorney’s office & IRS who helped uncover Hastert’s sex crimes against kids.”

Tapper then replied to that tweet, “If you don’t care about sex crimes against children, and how adults get away with it, then I don’t know what to say.”

Project Veritas posted a screenshot to Facebook, due to their previously mentioned Twitter ban, and stated, “This tweet did not age well @JakeTapper.”

As we first reported, Tapper has yet to comment on the scandal, although he did recently tweet about the Ghislaine Maxwell trial, causing many to respond incredulously.

There is speculation that Maxwell might flip and name the powerful men who participated in her and Epstein’s heinous crimes.

Tapper downplayed that suggestion and said in a tweet, “Our legal panel suggested this was largely in the hands of state and local prosecutors, not federal, since the crimes would be state crimes.”

“Only 4 of Epstein/Maxwell’s myriad alleged victims were part of this specific prosecution and guilty verdict,” Tapper explained.

Recently, we reported:

A video released by Project Veritas yesterday shows one of their journalists questioning CNN National Correspondent Athena Jones about a producer for Jake Tapper, who it has now been reported resigned earlier this month.

In the video, Jones eventually called security on the journalist, after giving a report which was broadcast live on CNN as he attempts to ask her about the producer Rick Saleeby, who is under “criminal investigation” involving “potential juvenile victims.”
