James O’Keefe read his resignation letter this morning to his now-former team and board members of Project Veritas at the Mamaroneck, N.Y. headquarters. OANN political correspondent Neil McCabe shared the news on Twitter:

“Exclusive: @JamesOKeefeIII, my friend and former boss at @Project_Veritas, just read his resignation letter to his former team and board members at their Mamaroneck, N.Y. headquarters. James will make his own way—as he always has before. @OANN”

Founder of Turning Point USA, Charlie Kirk shared video of O’Keefe’s resignation.

O’Keefe reads aloud what lead up to this moment in time. He had fired two executives over disagreements over fundraising and this led another employee to go to the board and discuss restructuring, and potentially ousting O’Keefe from the company.

The Board reversed the firings and seemingly sidelined O’Keefe. After the uproar of this news, many shared that Project Veritas would be nothing without him and it seems the Board tried to attempt to patch things up it didn’t seem to work. This morning O’Keefe left the company he started

McCabe told the Daily Beast, O’Keefe resigned without a severance deal, “He just resigns and walks out the door to start a new life. Now we’ll see: does the organization he created survive?”

We will see what comes next from O’Keefe and if Project Veritas can survive without him.
