James Woods Applauds Man For Speaking Out at Supervisors Meeting, ‘Maricopa is the New Zimbabwe’

In a tweet today, actor James Woods applauded a man who spoke out at the Maricopa County supervisors meeting on Wednesday.

The fired-up man, identified as Matt Baker, gave the supervisors a stern lecture about the way the recent election was handled.

Baker has an appearance that most likely wouldn’t identify as someone who would have said the things he said at the meeting.

Woods pointed that out as he said in the tweet, where he shared a clip from Baker’s speech, “I am ashamed to say I would not give this fellow a second thought if I passed him in the street.”

“Having watched this speech, however, I am now in awe of his eloquence and patriotism,” Woods explained.

Woods concluded by insisting that, “Maricopa County is the new Zimbabwe.”

Baker told the supervisors, “Once again, the eyes of the world are upon Maricopa County for another botched election.”

“Am I here to accuse you of stealing the vote? Heavens, no, for that would make me a terrorist, wouldn’t it?” Baker asked, in a somewhat facetious manner.

Baker ultimately concluded his comments by screaming at the board, “You are the cancer that is tearing this nation apart!”

The Arizona Mirror reported that “yelling, interruptions, and scathing criticisms” were “hurled” at the supervisors during the board’s first meeting following the midterm election.

Earlier, we reported that the board of supervisors in Cochise County, Arizona, has delayed certifying the results of last week’s election to review evidence of voting machine certification.

Editor’s note: we are not suggesting or reporting that election results are not correct, simply mirroring the feelings of some others and about how long it took for results to come in. Many feel elections should be known on Election Day, despite media reports before elections telling people that it’s “normal”.

  1. I Love Woods’ comments about Baker’s speech. Baker’s speech was awesome and he was 100% right.

  2. When I went to vote the Voting, machines were rejecting all of the ballots as unreadable. How can this be there needs to be another vote without machines that can be manipulated.
