Jan 6th Committee Seeks 9 Months of ‘Trump Contact’ Info for Various Social Media Personalities and GA Gov Candidate Vernon Jones

Kyle Cheney of Politico recently tweeted out a major update with the January 6th committee. The committee headed by U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is made up of all Democrats except for two Trump-hating Republicans.

The two Republicans are U.S. House Rep Liz Cheney (R-WY) and U.S. House Rep Adam Kinzinger (R-IL). Both of them are facing severe criticisms and harsh penalties from the GOP in addition to primary challengers. It’s tough to say how well these primary challengers will do against the so-called “RINOs”.

Meanwhile, the committee that rejected the GOP’s initial member suggestions is taking steps after a recent report revealed there wasn’t much coordination beforehand involving the sad events that happened at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th when a group composed of Trump supporters and also others rushed into the building.

The report, as told by The Hill, came out with this:

The FBI has found little evidence at this point to suggest that the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol was largely coordinated by supporters of former President Trump or right-wing groups, according to a Reuters report.

“Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases,” a former senior law enforcement official told Reuters. “Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages.”

Now, Democrats want to keep this thing going, by looking for more information to possibly contradict this report. They are seeking up to 9 months of possible contact info between then President Donald Trump and a slew of social media personalities and others.

One of the people on the list is Georgia Republican and former Democrat Vernon Jones. Jones is running for Governor against Brian Kemp. Some may try to argue that putting him and some others on the below list is political and meant to create a cloud of doubt around Jones and others.

Some of the others on the list are already banned on social media. Cheney tweeted:

INBOX: Jan. 6 committee issues first broad records request, including to National Archives for records of Trump White House.

Jones appears to be supporting Herschel Walker’s run for U.S. Senate as well and has been working with Michael Flynn and Az State Senator Wendy Rogers on election integrity efforts as you can see below. Flynn’s name is also on the above list. Walker recently made his senate run official as we reported here.

It’s hard to say if the committee will ultimately get their wish here with these requests, but time will tell. As you can see above, there are many names who you probably recognize, and some you may not. Stay tuned for possible updates on this development.
