According to U.S. House Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the House Judiciary Committee will investigate the SCOTUS leak from last year.
The Supreme Court’s investigation has come up empty-handed and shared that they cannot determine the source of the leak thus far. Even if the investigation continues, it’s safe to say it’s failed so far in our view.
Last year when Jordan was the minority leader on the committee, he stated that Republicans would look into the leak of the draft opinion in the case that overturned Roe vs. Wade.
Chief Justice John Roberts has called the leak an “egregious breach of trust”. Roberts directed the Marshal of the Court to investigate to find the source of the leak. Over 120 interviews were conducted, and during all of the interviews, all 100 employees denied leaking the opinion.
With the Republicans finally in control of the House and able to direct inquiries it seems that finding the source of the leak may be in their hands as the Supreme Court itself has failed to do so.
The report from the investigation cites “The pandemic and resulting expansion of the ability to work from home, as well as gaps in the Court’s security policies, created an environment where it was too easy to remove sensitive information from the building and the Court’s IT networks, increasing the risk of both deliberate and accidental disclosures of Court-sensitive information.”
Many Republican voters are skeptical that the divided and potentially/partially corrupt GOP can actually get anything substantial done on this, or anything else.

What a Joke. Jordan is another waste of space and air. He will do absolutely NOTHING. You think he’s going to actually reveal that John Roberts was the leaker. They all know it already. This is simply theater for our benefit. Please. They can find people in a crowd of thousands and target them for prosecurtion with the exception of the FBI plants but they can’t find out who leaked this information. Absurd. He had help as well. Put the reporter in Jail. This is one of the few times where the freedom of the press doesn’t outweigh national interests and the safety of the nation. But nothing will be done. Just more theater from the republicans which is exactly what we said was going to happen when they took office. It will take them two years to even start investigating anything and then they will lose the house again anyway. This is all carefully orchestrated theater. Anyone who voted for the idiots that supported McCarthy as speaker should be ashamed of themselves. Period. Anyone who didn’t contact their elected official and demand they vote against McCarthy is who we can thank for the ongoing pursuit into the tearing down of our nation.
