Following news on Thursday that Michael Flynn has been cleared of charges brought against him, US House Rep Jim Jordan celebrated the news by saying, “Justice for the General.” He went further by saying it’s time to “hold someone accountable.”
Flynn case dropped! Justice for the General. Now it’s time to hold someone accountable.

Today, he brought up the IRS targeting scandal that also occurred under former President Obama’s watch. He wondered if it was “a pattern” and said that it was “scary!”
A pattern? Obama’s IRS targeted conservatives before the 2012 election. Obama’s FBI targeted President Trump and his allies before the 2016 election. Scary!

A leaked phone call from yesterday indicated that Obama isn’t apologizing for any of this. Talking privately to ex-members of his administration, he said that the “rule of law is at risk” in the wake of what he called an unprecedented move by the Justice Department to drop charges against former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn.
He said that the news had been “somewhat downplayed” and that “the fact that there is no precedent that anybody can find for someone who has been charged with perjury just getting off scot-free.”
He continued, “That’s the kind of stuff where you begin to get worried that basic — not just institutional norms — but our basic understanding of rule of law is at risk. And when you start moving in those directions, it can accelerate pretty quickly as we’ve seen in other places.”
