Joe Biden Claims ‘Out of Office’ Donald Trump Has Intimidated Moderate Republicans Into Doing His Bidding for Fear of Primary, Which is Hurting Dem’s Agenda

At a press conference today, Joe Biden hurled some curious accusations at Donald Trump and his hold on the Republican party.

In an interaction with CBS Chief White House correspondent Nancy Cordes, Biden claimed that “out of office” Trump has intimidated moderate Republicans into doing his bidding for fear of primary, which is hurting the Democrat’s agenda.

Biden began by suggesting, “Think about, did you ever think that one man out of office, could intimidate an entire party where they are unwilling to take any move, contrary to what he thinks should be taken, for fear of being defeated in the primary.”

“I’ve had five Republican senators talk to me, “bump into me,” or sit with me and tell me that they agree with me, but Joe, if I do, I’m going to be defeated in a primary,” Biden claimed.

Biden then insisted, “We’ve got to break that. It’s got to change.”

Incredibly, Biden then asked, “Did any of you think we’d get to a point where not a single Republican will diverge on a major issue? Not one?”

Of course, Democrats generally vote in lockstep on every major issue, like for example Trump’s impeachment, where not one Democrat was willing to vote against it.

Biden was then asked by Cordes if he could name the five senators, but he declined, ultimately.

Fox News’ Kayleigh McEnany weighed in on the press conference and said in a tweet, “If Trump said half of what Biden is saying right now, reporters would be screaming.”

“But it’s Biden, so they don’t even bother to follow up,” McEnany explained.
