YouTube Journalist John Sullivan uploaded a video to the internet of the breach of the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. Sullivan made approximately $90,000 from the footage, the footage is now being used as evidence in the charges against Sullivan.
Sullivan’s bank account with the proceeds have been taken from Sullivan the court denied his requested pretrial hearing to get access to those funds was denied, “seized funds… are forfeitable proceeds”.
After the crowd broke through the last barricade, and as he and the others approach the Capitol Building, the defendant can be heard saying at various points: “There are so many people. Let’s go. This shit is ours! F___ yeah,” “We
accomplished this shit. We did this together. F___ yeah! We are all a part of this history,” and “Let’s burn this shit down.”
The video follows as the defendant roams the Capitol Building with other individuals who unlawfully entered. At various points, the defendant can be heard saying, “We gotta get this shit burned,” “it’s our house motherfuckers,” and “we are getting this shit.”
