Journalist Drew Hernandez Reports That He is Receiving Death Threats After Testifying at Rittenhouse Trial

Journalist Drew Hernandez testified today at the murder trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, who is being charged after killing two and wounding one in Kenosha, Wisconsin during the Black Lives Matter riots on August 25, 2020.

Hernandez has now reported that he is receiving death threats from what Tucker Carlson described as “the left-wing militia that seems to control some of our cities.”

In a tweet, Hernandez shared a screenshot of one of the messages he apparently received on Instagram from user “Tyfae.”

In the message, “Tyfae” can be seen telling the recipient to kill themselves and calling them “absolute scum for defending a murderer.”

Instagram user “TyFae” has now made her account, which describes her as a “Poly pan demigirl,” private.

Hernandez told Carlson that after his testimony, he “immidiately” began receiving death threats on social media with them accusing him of defending a murderer, as it said in the screenshot he shared.

In a clip shared from the trial by The Columbia Bugle, the prosecutor, Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger can be seen asking Hernandez, “Your videos that you have captured of these incidents that you call ‘riots’ they’re very slanted against the people who are rioting. You characterize them as ‘Antifa, BLM rioters.’ Correct?”

Hernandez responded, “Because they are rioting in the footage, yes absolutely.”
