This morning, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appeared on the ABC’s The View and was introduced by Joy Behar who said that it was her birthday and that she “couldn’t do better” than Pelosi on a day like that.
With elation, she called Pelosi, “the most powerful woman in the world right now” and then backtracked slightly, saying “well certainly in the country” as Pelosi beamed with pride.
As Fox News reported, Pelosi later went on to rip President Trump and Republicans in Congress for abruptly breaking off negotiations on another Coronavirus relief package.
“It’s hard to see any clear, sane path on what he’s doing but the fact is he saw the political downside of his statement of walking away from the negotiations,” she said during an interview on ABC’s “The View.” “He’s rebounding from a terrible mistake he made yesterday, and the Republicans in Congress are going down the drain with him on that.”
Pelosi also claimed that Trump just wants to have a “check sent out with his name on it.” She later said that her first thought was for the “children.”
“If I am sent a Stand Alone Bill for Stimulus Checks ($1,200), they will go out to our great people IMMEDIATELY. I am ready to sign right now. Are you listening Nancy?” the president tweeted last night.

Whoopi Goldberg speculated that Trump could be having a “steroid high” which might be affecting his thinking and Pelosi claimed that she believed he was “medicated” during February’s State of the Union speech and that was the last time that she had spoken with him.
