Juan Williams Claims That ‘Too Many Men of Color Got Conned By Trump’

In an Op-Ed published today in The Hill, Juan Williams gave his reaction to a voter analysis of the results of last week’s presidential election which said that 12 percent of Black men voted for President Trump.

Williams claimed in the title that “Too many men of color got conned by Trump.”

“It stuns me to see that President Trump set a record last week by attracting the highest percentage of the non-white vote of any Republican presidential candidate in the last 60 years,” Williams wrote in the piece.

Williams also wondered, “And why would 39 percent of Latino men vote for a man who called Mexican men rapists and enforced harsh anti-immigrant policies?”

One Twitter user, Teresa Sickles, responded, “Maybe it will inspire you to reevaluate all the ridiculous things you’ve said and written about over the past 4 years.”

Veteran Dan Bowen said of the headline, “Interesting, those of us in the real world aren’t at all surprised that you would make such a statement.”

Freelance writer Dave Andrews ascertained, “Maybe 50 years of empty promises from the Democrats for minority communities are starting to be rejected by more people who think for themselves.”

The Trump supporters that Williams claimed have been conned are still standing by the president, including Mark Lutchman, who recently tweeted, “The truth is, There WAS a red wave. America wants Trump.”
