At the beginning of December, we reported that Kamala Harris’ chief spokesperson Symone Sanders announced that she was departing at the end of the month.
It has now been reported that, less than two weeks after her departure, she has landed a gig at MSNBC after multiple networks reached out to her about potential on-air contributor gigs.
MSNBC had reportedly gone further, expressing interest in bringing Sanders on board as a contributor or on-air host.
POLITICO reported that Sanders is heading to the left-leaning cable news network, where she will host a weekend show and a show on its streaming platform.
Sanders is a former CNN analyst and commentator who had also worked on Joe Biden’s presidential campaign in 2020.
The hiring of Sanders also marks the latest in what POLITICO described as an arms race for talent between the networks as they build out their streaming services.
Former “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace departed the network last month to head to CNN’s new streaming platform, CNN+.
CNN announced yesterday that they poached longtime host of NPR’s “All Things Considered,” Audie Cornish, as well to join the network as an anchor and correspondent for the streaming service.
