In an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash, Kamala Harris discussed Roe vs. Wade and told her that she thought about the decision as “a daughter of a woman and the granddaughter of a woman.”
Prior to that, Harris listed other ways that she thought about it, including as a “woman” herself after being led on by Bash.
The statement by Harris during the interview elicited a number of reactions by those who mocked her for stating the obvious, or perhaps not so much.
Twitter user “Robert” responded to a Breaking911 clip of Harris’ statement, “So is every other woman on earth. You’re not special Kamala.”

After the ruling on Friday, Harris said in a tweet, “Millions of women in America will go to bed tonight without access to the health care and reproductive health care they had this morning.”
“Without access to the same health care or reproductive health care their mothers and grandmothers had for 50 years,” Harris added.
